Julie Brothers Invited to Show at Visa Pour L’Image
Raising Malawi Series to be Featured
Photographer Julie Brothers has been invited to showcase the Raising Malawi series at the prestigious 2007 Visa Pour L’Image, the International Photojournalism Festival in Perpignan, France. Often referred to as the “Cannes Film Festival of photojournalism,” the festival runs September 1st until September 16th, 2007.
“The attention generated by the Raising Malawi series is a great tool to assist the orphans in Malawi,” said Brothers.
Peer Gallery in New York is featuring a selection of images from the Raising Malawi series through September 8th, 2007, in a show called Degrees of Separation, curated by John A. Bennette.
Other selections from the series are now on display in various locations in California, as an extension of the Art of Photography Show, which was held in San Diego earlier this year.
