Julie Brothers update

Meet these five children. They are all orphans living on the streets of Malawi, Africa. They are all potential victims of genital mutilation, hunger, disease, and sexual predators. They are all alone.

During my visit to Malawi, I spent a day with these “street kids”. They showed me where they sleep (in an alley on a cardboard mattress), and how they eat (carefully scraping food left on plates at the local outdoor restaurants).

With friendships forged on the streets, they have only themselves for support. They wander about the streets of Lilongwe with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Since my first visit to Malawi, a third of the orphans have had the opportunity to benefit from the programs of Raising Malawi. Raising Malawi works to give orphaned children what they so desperately need: food, shelter, healthcare, clothing, and education. But most important, Raising Malawi gives these kids love and hope— life’s two most basic necessities.

I invite you to join me and become a part of this important project. To learn more about Raising Malawi’s 5-point approach, click here

I plan to visit these boys again in the near future, and look forward to sharing more of the accomplishments of Raising Malawi with you.

In the meantime, please help me help Raising Malawi.
